CHAMPIONSHIP matches will be played at the Salem Civic Center, 1001 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153.
Finals will be played on Saturday, November 22nd.

SPECTATOR EXPECTATIONS - Spectators cannot assemble around the edge of the court prior to the game or go onto the court at the conclusion of the game. Spectators will not be allowed on the courts at any time.

Opportunities for pictures will be provided at the conclusion of each championship awards ceremony.

NOISEMAKERS – Artificial noisemakers will not be permitted in the Salem Civic Center. Anyone using these items will be directed to leave the facility.

BALLOONS/CONFETTI – Balloons/Confetti are not allowed.

ADMISSION TICKETS-- All tickets for matches at the Salem Civic Center are $10.00 with an additional service charge. They will be sold online only through GoFan. There will be a Gofan box office as well and you may use cards. The link is:

Children six years or younger are admitted free if accompanied by an adult.
No seats are reserved. Fans who exit the Salem Civic Center will be required to pay to reenter. The Salem Civic Center will not be cleared between matches. All ticket sales will be online, no door sales. Doors will open to the public one hour before the first match each day.

SECURITY – (from the Salem Civic Center website) There is a clear bag policy for all spectators.

The Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School for Marine and Environmental Science will be hosting open house events at each campus on the following dates and encourages you to come by to meet teachers, see student work, and find out more about the program.

This video provides a brief introduction to CBGS, which is a half-day program that students apply for in 9th grade and attend for math and science in 10th-12th grades.

JV & varsity boys' basketball will start tryouts for those student-athletes not on the varsity football roster on Wednesday, November 12 at Middlesex High School. The tryout will start at 6:00 pm. Students are not allowed to stay after school until the tryout. There will be additional tryouts scheduled for students who are still participating in a fall sport.

We are thrilled to share that we are heading to Athens, Corinth, Nafplio, Argolida in Spring 2027, and we would love for your student to join us! We are looking for current 8th - 11th grade students who are interested in an unrivaled cultural experience!

Winter Tryout Schedule


JV & Varsity Girls' Basketball: November 10, 11 & 12 at SCW from 3:30 to 5:30 pm

JV & Varsity Winter Cheer: November 10, 11 & 12 at MHS from 3:30 to 5:30 pm

Wrestling: November 10 at MHS in the cafeteria from 3:30 to 5:00 pm

Swim: November 14 at the Kilmarnock YMCA at 4:00 pm (Transportation not provided)

JV & Varsity Boys' Basketball are scheduled to start tryouts on November 12 at MHS. The time will be announced later this week due to the gym being used for Volleyball. An additional tryout will begin on November 17 for 9-12 grade players on the football team.

Please let students know that if they are currently participating in a sport that will compete in the playoffs during a winter tryout, they will need to contact the coach of the winter sport to discuss the tryout process.

Parents have the option to opt out of providing this information.

This form must be completed for all 11th and 12th grade students.

If you have multiple students in 11th and 12th grade, a form must be completed for each student.

Families who do not complete this form will automatically have their information provided for military recruiting purposes.

**THIS FORM MUST BE UPDATED ANNUALLY. This means that if opted out last year, you must OPT OUT AGAIN this school year.**
