🦉🔬 Learning Science Through Discovery!
BIO II students got hands-on with an owl pellet lab, using their findings to uncover clues about an owl’s diet and ecosystem role. After identifying the remains of prey animals, students are using their data to estimate how many animals an owl may eat in a year and then putting that information to work by creating food webs and ecological pyramids. 🌎🌿
Who knew an owl pellet could teach us so much about an ecosystem? 🦉💡

On Tuesday, November 3, our community will vote on implementing this proposed sales tax for the modernization of Middlesex High School, built in 1949.
A comprehensive study has documented significant aging, safety, accessibility, code, and infrastructure needs at MHS.
If approved, the tax would be paid on taxable purchases by residents AND nonresidents, helping to address the urgent need while relieving some of the burden on property tax payers.

Reminder about home athletic events - students who wish to attend games must go home first and then return to MHS to buy a ticket and enter a game. MHS students do not need a parent/guardian with them, but middle and elementary school students can only enter with a parent/guardian. High school students cannot bring younger siblings without a parent/guardian.
